This Newark-based series takes a look at the lives of two families from different ends of the spectrum -- one from the streets and the other from the executive world. Jessica and Darel, who go by Jayda and Creep, are former gang members who found romance in the hood. Now reformed, the couple raise two kids while pursuing their careers and dreams. Jayda is working to build mentorship programs for young women, and Creep works in sanitation but dreams of launching a comedy career. On the other side of the coin, trial attorney Brooke -- who once kept Jayda out of jail -- balances the stress of her high-stakes job with the drama of raising two college-age kids with Maggie, her partner in life and business.
