A young WW I soldier lies in a hospital bed, unable to distinguish if he is awake or if he is dreaming. Wounded by a landmine, he has lost his arms, legs and face, thus as well as his ability to hear, speak or smell. Although the doctors are unaware that he is still able to reason, the desperate soldier manages to communicate with a young nurse. During his attempts, he relives his story in dreams and memories…
