Two infants are abducted from the kingdom of little people in the heart of the magical forest, and taken away with a travelling circus. The boy, Tom Thumb, manages to escape, but Thumbelina is left captive. When she breaks free, she bumps into Tom Thumb, who she doesn't recognise except for noticing that he is also only six inches tall.
