Hidayat Khan is also an asset for the Indian Intelligence and the real reason for Sehmat's marriage is a covert mission: Sehmat is to be sent as a spy into a Pakistani military family and source out all the information that she can get on Pakistan’s strategy in the impending war. Sehmat accepts her fate and is ready to do anything that is required for the country. Sehmat enters the new family and a new country on a mission for her motherland.
