Herbert von Karajan

Herbert von Karajan, født 5. april 1908 og død 16. juli 1989, var en østerriksk dirigent og musikkprodusent. Han var mest kjent for sitt arbeid som musikalsk leder for Berliner Philharmoniker fra 1956 til sin død. Karajan var kjent for sine tolkninger av klassiske verk av komponister som Ludwig van Beethoven og Richard Wagner. Han regnes som en av de mest innflytelsesrike dirigenter på 1900-tallet, og hans store diskografi omfatter mange populære klassikere.
