A poignant and life-affirming documentary with universal resonance that explores the end-of-life experience from the point of view of those who pass on, and those who remain. Amandine lives in a small village near Calais, in the north of France, with her husband and two young boys. On October 7, 2022, her world falls apart when she is diagnosed with gallbladder cancer. A few days later, she learns that her disease is uncurable and that she has just a few months left to live. Amandine is admitted in the palliative care unit of Calais hospital, where she meets Peyo, an animal unlike any other.
