Med stjerner i alle rollene, følger filmen den vakre prinsesse Giselle (Amy Adams) når hun forvises av en ond dronning (Susan Sarandon) fra sin animerte eventyrverden til den møkkete virkeligheten på gaten i dagens Manhattan.
