Their focus: the notorious Special Anti-Robbery Squad, famed for their abuse of power and brutality. Following weeks of "#EndSARS" protests against police brutality that had burst onto the streets of cities across Nigeria, on the night of 20th October 2020 the Nigerian Army opened fire on peaceful protesters at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos State, Nigeria. It was all caught on Instagram live. This is the story of those who were caught up in the fray, and shared the terror with the world as it happened.
Finding Fela
Finding Fela tells the story of Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s life, his music, his social and political importance. He created a new musical movement, Afrobeat, using that forum to express his revolutionary political opinions against the dictatorial Nigerian government of the 1970s and 1980s.
