A Kind of America
Tamás is a successful young film director, his dream is directing a feature film with a story written by him a long time ago. He sends the story to a couple of producers in the U. S. Hoping that the ‘’Eastern European idyll” might attract the attention of one of them. He actually does receive answer from one, namely Alex Brubeck who thinks to take this chance to look around for the first time in the politically and economically new Hungary. He decides not to reveal his Hungarian origin. He has heard so much about visiting ex-Hungarians being tapped for money that he hopes pretending himself to being „real” American might guarantee him more respect. The comedy of errors begins.

A Kind of America 2 (Valami Amerika 2)
The three brothers, Akos, Tamas and Andras - known from the first part - try to get back their 60 million forints stolen by impostor Alex who ran away with the money and the girlfriend of the oldest brother. One day the three guys get a postcard that leads them to the US where they hope to catch Alex. They find out that Alex, instructed by a Hungarian mafioso must stage a musical (East Side Story), that is one of Broadway's biggest flop. But Alex has to get the rights first. The brothers decide to licence the play before the swindler who cheats them for the second time. It turns out that he wrote the play originally... They have no choice but stage the musical, with the mafioso’s daughter playing one of the leading parts. The director is the middle brother Tamas who has his second chance after the failure of his movie Guilty City. Fun and music, love and cheat mixed with Hungarian star actors and successful movie director Gabor Herendi will make A Kind of America 2 work on the big screen.
